Pastor Tom Bacon was a career missionary of the Home Mission Board/North American Mission Board. He served a total of 22 ½ years, ending his service as Director of Cooperative Missions and Men in Missions Director at the Nevada Baptist Convention in Reno, Nevada where he served 10 ½ years.

Before appointment by the Home Mission Board/North American Mission Board, he served pastorates in California and Nevada, including two bi-vocational pastorates in his early ministry.

A native of Winnsboro, Texas, Pastor Tom is a graduate of California Baptist University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological seminary with additional studies at the University of California, Hayward in the field of drug abuse prevention, crisis intervention, and rehabilitation, as well as clinical pastoral educate program at the Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California.
